Catherine Monk Interiors finished the total refurbishment of a Tuscan villa of over 3,500 square feet of space set in
20 acres of olive trees. We created a unique property, blending contemporary high-end design within the existing
traditional structure.

The flexible design means the house can be used as luxurious main home or as a summer rental for numerous families bringing in maximum income in the peak season. The master suite boasts a spa bathroom complete with a decadent tub for two, his 'n' hers showers and basins. There are two other suites each with two double bedrooms – perfect for siblings to have their own rooms while sharing a bathroom or for one or two visiting families to have their own designated area.

Full of hidden gems. The subtle colour scheme picks up hues of local colours imbedded in the original pietra (stone) and terracotta found in the original surrounding walls and floors. An accent of copper, picked out in the lighting and traditional beamed ceilings, works beautifully with the natural tuscan palette.

Access to the house has been remodelled to show the property’s incredible views of northern Tuscany, including the construction of an 18m infinity pool overlooking the city of Lucca.
